Recorded in 1989 at Mapleshade Studios, this tension-filled session includes a reimagined version of Billy Strayhorn’s classic “Something To Live For” (M1), Blake’s original composition “Vanguard” (M6) as a duo performance, and the trio piece “Doug’s Prelude” (M9) featuring trombonist Julian Priester.
