DJ NOTOYA, whose mix "Tokyo 1980s" has garnered attention from listeners around the world. His previous release, ā€œTokyo 1980s Victor Editionā€ā€”a compilation of selected tracks from the Victor archivesā€”was a massive hit on streaming platforms and in vinyl format! Now, the long-awaited vinyl release of the second installment has been confirmed.

As the subtitle suggests, this release features a diverse lineup showcasing DJ NOTOYAā€™s signature taste, ranging from Japanese boogie to AOR and slow, mellow tracks. The album features eight tracks, including the popular ā€œI'M IN LOVEā€ by Aru Takamuraā€”a Japanese track with an unusually thick bassline and a swaying beatā€”as well as ā€œYOU'RE THE ONLY ONEā€ by ONE LINE BAND (the predecessor to SHOGUN, led by Fujimaru Yoshino), and the refreshingly mellow dance track ā€œADIOSā€ by Sadistics, which included YMOā€™s Yukihiro Takahashi and Masayoshi Takanaka, who is currently making a big splash overseas. The cover artwork is by Hiroshi Nagai.
