RELEASE DESCRIPTION

Death Waltz Recording Co., in association with Toho Music, is proud to present the first-ever vinyl pressing of the soundtrack to GODZILLA VS SPACEGODZILLA.

With all-new artwork by Florian Bertmer, this 2xLP features Takayuki Hattori’s incredible original score and is available on 140-gram eco vinyl.

The Big G returns! After the titanic clash with Mechagodzilla, Godzilla faces down another mirror image of himself in GODZILLA VS SPACEGODZILLA. After a NASA spaceship is attacked, the JDSF learns that a terrible alien monster is headed straight for Earth, and even their uber-mech M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is no match for it. A mutated form of the Big G, SpaceGodzilla defeats Godzilla and abducts Little Godzilla, while the JSDF try to think of ways to save the day as the Japanese mafia tries to take control of Godzilla using the psychic Miki Saegusa. Can Miki escape their ruthless clutches? Can Godzilla rescue his child and defeat the beast from beyond? Only GODZILLA VS SPACEGODZILLA can answer that!

GODZILLA VS SPACEGODZILLA was scored by composer Takayuki Hattori, with this being his debut for Toho – he would later go on to score GODZILLA 2000: MILLENNIUM. Hattori’s score is bold and colorful, with several new themes introduced – including a new theme for Godzilla himself! The theme is more overtly heroic than Akira Ifukube’s classic music for the character, which contrasts with the monstrously menacing music for SpaceGodzilla. The score also has strong emotional beats, with music for Miki and Little Godzilla receiving special treatment, along with a stirring finale. A score worthy of the dazzling and devastating conflict that is GODZILLA VS SPACEGODZILLA! - Charlie Brigden
