Kiyoshi Sugimoto, a guitarist whom Terumasa Hino aspired to and Akira Ishikawa fell in love with. Their cutting-edge and diverse sounds have always been at the forefront of modern jazz and jazz-rock, and have sharply penetrated the center of the times. There is no doubt that this work 'Babylonian Wind' captures one of the peaks of that musical expression. Hideo Ichikawa's electric piano spreads out like ripples, Yoshio Ikeda's plump yet restrained bass, Motohiko Hino's drums with fine grain and strong propulsion, Takao Uematsu's saxophone that combines rusticity and luster, and a flash of light. Sugimoto's sharp guitar. From 'Babylonia Wind,' which seems to sway in the deep sea, to 'Hieroglyph,' which leaves a delicate and ephemeral afterglow, you will be amazed by the variety of expressions and the depth of the groove.

Great album and great shop

Excellent album. I had never purchased from this vendor before and I was initially leary (this album is sold out on bandcamp and Materia Collective's site, and I'd never heard of Helix). But the album arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. I wish the "gold swirl" was a touch more apparent but I understand that each record will look different. Wonderful release from Rozen overall.
