DESCRIPTION

"I am thou... Thou art I..."

Video Game LoFi: PERSONA by lost:tree brings together the complete Persona EP series in one definitive collection, spanning Persona 2 through Persona 5 Royal, plus additional bonus tracks. This expanded release reimagines some of the series’ most iconic themes with tape-saturated drums, warm dusty keys, jazzy basslines, and smooth late-night grooves.

From the ethereal pull of “Aria of the Soul” to the rebellious pulse of “Burn My Dread,” the bittersweet nostalgia of “Heaven,” and the slick swagger of “Last Surprise,” lost:tree channels the emotional depth and stylish energy that define Persona.

Featured collaborators Save Point, Emunator, and floopy bring additional texture and groove, while vocal performances from Ariah Mickae, Lizz Robinett, LiaToGo, LadyIgiko, Aleyna, and Dariasirene elevate these reimagined classics. SideQuest appears on sax, adding a smoky finish to "Don't (from "Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis")."

Music originally composed by Shoji Meguro, Ryota Kozuka, Atsushi Kitajo, Kenichi Tsuchiya, and Toshiki Konishi.

Artist Note:

Among all the video games I love, Persona is a series that holds a special place in my heart. The story, the characters, and of course the music have always meant a lot to me. When I was given the opportunity to do this, it was clear that 10 songs wouldn’t be enough. I wanted this project to highlight tracks from across the series, and choosing which ones felt right was its own challenge.

This was a huge undertaking considering how beloved the music is, so I pulled from everything I learned on my last three albums and mixed in newer ideas to create something that felt cohesive from start to finish. Working with producers, musicians, and vocalists I’ve teamed up with before, along with some new collaborators, made this project really special. It took a lof of time, effort, and experimenting to figure out how I wanted these lo-fi versions to sound - exploring chords, blending new and old textures, and finding a way to honor the originals. I’m truly thankful to everyone who helped bring this album to life.

I had a lot of fun and hope you enjoy the album. And remember: Take Your Time…
