Teresa Teng’s second Mandarin album, originally released on cassette by Polydor Japan in November 1979, compiles recordings made primarily for the Dao Guo Zhi Qingge series, which began in Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1975. Now reissued as a super high-end analog edition, the “100% Pure LP”. This 3LP set features 20 tracks, centered around her hit singles such as “Dong Zhi Lianqing”, “Xiao Cun Zhi Lian”, and “Ni Zai Wo Xin Zhong”, alongside popular covers of enka and kayokyoku such as “Wo He Ni” and “Yi Pian Luoye”, as well as hidden original gems.

“100% Pure LP” is a premium Made-in-Japan series launched in 2012, widely recognized as a pioneer of modern audiophile vinyl and acclaimed worldwide. One of its defining features is the use of uncolored virgin vinyl, eliminating all coloring materials such as carbon that may affect sound quality. By using only pure polyvinyl chloride, it ensures outstanding molding stability.

Another key feature is the adoption of metal master pressing. By eliminating the conventional steps involving metal mothers and stampers, the record is pressed directly from the metal master, resulting in exceptionally precise groove formation. Due to its reduced durability, production is strictly limited.

This release also adopts 45RPM instead of the standard 33⅓ RPM. While this limits playing time per side and necessitates a multi-disc format, it allows for wider and longer grooves, improved rotational stability, and significant advantages in detail reproduction and dynamic range.

The audio source is based on newly transferred 96kHz/24bit WAV files from the original analog master tapes. Mastering is kept as flat as possible to preserve freshness and dynamic range, pursuing a natural sound faithful to the original recordings.
