Umitaro Abe released the soundtracks for dramas directed and written by Takashi Minamoto as "Musical Portrait of Takashi Minamoto." This analog edition is a comprehensive album featuring carefully selected piano pieces from all of those works. The solo piano pieces, both composed and performed by Abe himself, bring out melodies that resonate with delicate human relationships and beautiful scenery, while a sequence of his distinctive tones forms a free and open musical world.

"Musical Portrait of Takashi Minamoto" is a soundtrack series by Umitaro Abe, released digitally every month for nine consecutive months, featuring music from numerous dramas directed by Takashi Minamoto, including "Grace no Rireki," winner of the 42nd Kuniko Mukoda Prize, and "Kyotojin no Hisokana Tanoshimi Rouge -Keishou-," which aired from January this year. From this soundtrack series, created in response to the many requests for official audio releases that followed each drama broadcast, comes an analog edition of a comprehensive album featuring carefully selected solo piano pieces, plus two previously unreleased tracks. Every piece was not only composed but also performed by Abe himself. The solo piano further highlights melodies that resonate with the delicate human relationships running through Minamoto’s works, where the humanity of each character intertwines, as well as the visual beauty that captures the landscapes serving as the stories’ settings. The jacket artwork by painter Akane Nakajima brings color to this free world, where sounds with Abe’s unique tone connect organically. Includes a letterpress-printed supplement featuring Abe’s handwritten score for the track "Tears."
