Toru Hashimoto (SUBURBIA), known for curating many beloved compilation series such as “Free Soul,” “Café Après-midi,” “Mellow Beats,” “Good Mellows,” “Jazz Supreme,” “Music With a View,” and “Incense Music,” presents a new compilation series titled Chillout Breeze.

With artwork by FJD and mastering by Calm, this project is a supreme collaboration that brings together a carefully selected collection of mellow and groovy music, perfect for relaxing and feeling the breeze.

The first two volumes, “Seaside Chillout Breeze” and “Sunset Chillout Breeze”, are currently available in CD, digital, LP, and 7-inch single formats to great acclaim. Now, the third volume in the series, “Summer-drive Chillout Breeze,” which is set for CD release on July 9th, 2025, will also be released in an LP edition on August 8th!

This installment is a beautiful lifestyle compilation, featuring music perfect for feeling the breeze while driving in the summer.

Under the supervision of Toru Hashimoto, eight newly recorded cover tracks were produced exclusively for this compilation:

Hideki Kaji covers HAIM’s “Summer Girl,” Keiichi Sokabe covers Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers’ “That Summer Feeling,” orange pekoe covers Koop’s “Summer Sun,” TAMTAM covers Sade’s “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” Gota Nishidera covers Smokey Robinson~D’Angelo’s “Cruisin’,” lo-key design covers Remy Shand’s “Rocksteady,” haruka nakamura covers Nick Holder’s “Summer Daze” (featuring a motif from Pat Metheny Group’s “Slip Away”), Shingo Sekiguchi covers Ben Watt’s “North Marine Drive.”

In addition, Toru Hashimoto’s selections include gem tracks by Chari Chari, Calm, and Yoshitaka Minami.

With stunning new artwork by Jiro Fujita (FJD) and superb mastering that emphasizes sonic detail by Calm, this luxurious compilation is now complete. Be sure to enjoy it in the visually captivating LP format as well!
